About

Heather Rae Beauchesne grew up in rural Saskatchewan, where the solitude of the open fields and neighboring boreal forest stitched an imagination and creativity that she went on to refine in varying forms from studio art to clothing design and construction.  After an adventure or two, Beauchesne made her way back to Saskatchewan to reside closer to her family.   The new proximity and close relationship with her nieces and nephews fostered the concepts and illustrations of her children's books.  Beauchesne spends her days as a Physical Therapist, and her nights and weekends as an auntie, studio artist, author-illustrator, and furry roommate enthusiast.
