About me

Heather Rae Beauchesne grew up in rural Saskatchewan, where the solitude of the open fields and neighbouring boreal forest stitched an imagination and creativity that she went on to refine as both studio artist and clothing designer.  After an adventure or two, Beauchesne made her way back to Saskatchewan to reside closer to her family.   It is back in the prairies, surrounded by her nieces and nephews, that Beauchesne fostered the concepts and illustrations of her children's books.  The imagined worlds of her youth came to life in the many bedtime stories.  Beauchesne spends her days as a Physical Therapist, and her nights and weekends as an auntie, studio artist, author/illustrator, and furry roommate enthusiast.
